Description
This image of the Virgin, designed and painted by Kiko Argüello, shows the Virgin ‘welcoming’ the child as a symbol of accepting the word and will of God.
The history of the Neocatechumenal Way dates back to the statements of Kiko Argüello, who said he had a vision of the Virgin Mary in 1959, where she asked him to “create Christian communities like the Holy Family of Nazareth” that live in Humility, Simplicity, and Praise where the other is Christ (back of the processional cross).
